system setup

The moodSeer system is easy to set up, load your music, and use.
Here are all the essentials.

Setting up the system

Some people prefer to have a dealer install everything, and some folks like to do it themselves. If you’re a do it yourself kind of person, here are the details.

  1. Unpack everything.
  2. Hook up the main unit, the moodCenter, to your main stereo or home theater system.
  3. Connect the moodCenter to the included preconfigured wireless unit. This will not interfere with your wireless local area network.
  4. Put a moodSpot unit in another room. Hook it up to your network, either through a wired ethernet connection or a wireless connection. Connect to powered speakers or your existing music system. You can connect to virtually any amplified music system, as long as it has an input connection.
  5. Repeat step 4 for additional rooms. You can connect up to 36 rooms via ethernet and up to 6 rooms wirelessly. You’ll need a moodSpot for each room.
  6. Load some music into your moodCenter. If you have an existing library of digital music, you can simply copy it from your computer directly to the moodCenter.
  7. The moodCenter will automatically categorize your music by mood. You can edit these if you wish, but it’s not necessary.
  8. Turn on your handheld unit. Create names for each room (master bedroom, kitchen, garage, office, etc.)
  9. Select a room, select a mood, and hit "Play."
  10. Enjoy!
