system setup
The moodSeer system is easy to set up, load your music, and use.
Here are all the essentials.
Setting up the system
Some people prefer to have a dealer install everything, and some folks like to do it themselves. If you’re a do it yourself kind of person, here are the details.
- Unpack everything.
- Hook up the main unit, the moodCenter, to your main stereo or home theater system.
- Connect the moodCenter to the included preconfigured wireless unit. This will not interfere with your wireless local area network.
- Put a moodSpot unit in another room. Hook it up to your network, either through a wired ethernet connection or a wireless connection. Connect to powered speakers or your existing music system. You can connect to virtually any amplified music system, as long as it has an input connection.
- Repeat step 4 for additional rooms. You can connect up to 36 rooms via ethernet and up to 6 rooms wirelessly. You’ll need a moodSpot for each room.
- Load some music into your moodCenter. If you have an existing library of digital music, you can simply copy it from your computer directly to the moodCenter.
- The moodCenter will automatically categorize your music by mood. You can edit these if you wish, but it’s not necessary.
- Turn on your handheld unit. Create names for each room (master bedroom, kitchen, garage, office, etc.)
- Select a room, select a mood, and hit "Play."
- Enjoy!
