Powered by Gracenote, Luxury Home Audio Device Allows Consumers to Match Their Music to their Mood
CES 2008 – moodSeer featured in Gracenote Booth #31453 in South Hall 3
Denver, CO (January 4, 2007) – Magic Home Entertainment (MHE), a leader in quality home audio products, today announced that Gracenote, the global leader in embedded technology, enriched content, and data services for digital entertainment solutions, will showcase MHE’s premiere product, moodSeer, in its booth at CES 2008. The moodSeer, which features several technologies from Gracenote, is a luxury home audio device that enables consumers to discretely match music with their mood.
Designed for the music aficionado, moodSeer is the latest in audio component technology and has been referred to as the “GPS system for music aficionados.†This multi-room, multi-source home audio component is comprised of the moodCenter (where the music is stored), the moodSpot (individual room players) and the moodBeamer (the hand-held touch screen remote controller). The system empowers a user to simply select the mood of music desired and press one button to automatically search an extensive music library and play the music that matches their mood.
Consumers have the ultimate in flexibility by creating a different mood in virtually every room in the home, wired or wirelessly. The music is digitally transferred and stored so you can store up to 40,000 tracks in streaming format without sacrificing track quality. The moodSeer can even plug and play the playlist of an MP3 player or an iPodâ„¢.
The moodSeer features Gracenote’s MusicID®, Playlist™, and cover art, and is one of the first devices for the home market to incorporate all those technologies together. MusicID enables identification, categorization, and organization of the digital music library, and is the engine behind music identification. Playlist allows users to generate digital music playlists automatically, as well as one-touch “More Like This†playlists by simply selecting one or more songs or artists as seeds songs. Playlist then returns a mix of songs from the music collection that are similar. To complete the solution, Gracenote will also be delivering album cover art as part of the solution, so moodSeer users will be able to enjoy the display of cover art relating to music from Gracenote’s database of thousands of licensed cover art scans.
“We are pleased to have the moodSeer product featured in our booth at CES 2008,†said Jim Hollingsworth, SVP of sales and marketing, Gracenote. “The platform is innovative in the industry and the moodSeer is a groundbreaking product in the consumer home audio entertainment market.â€
“We are excited to be showcased in the Gracenote booth at CES,†said Rochelle Grubbs, chief operating officer for Magic Home Entertainment, the parent company for moodSeer. “We have worked diligently to develop and test our product over the years and the fact that a leading technology company will be demonstrating it at CES is testament to our efforts.â€
